Gypsian Boutique Tours

FAQ

When travelling there are always a hundred and one questions. What should I pack? How much should I tip? What do I do about a visa?

Here at Gypsian Boutique Tours we’ve got it covered. We are about a more personalised service and to put your mind at ease. If we haven’t answered your query give us a call on 1300 831 985

Can I book extra accommodation for the start or end of my tour?

Yes. If you would like pre- or post-tour accommodation just let us know and we can book extra nights for you in the same hotel you will be staying in on tour or in another hotel to suit your budget.

Do I need my own travel insurance?

All participants on our tours must have obtained comprehensive travel insurance prior to commencement of their tour and the details of this policy (including policy number and emergency hotline phone number) must be provided to Gypsian Boutique Tours.

How do I get to the hotel when I arrive in the country?

Arriving in a foreign country can be a little daunting. That’s why we have included arrival transfers to your hotel as part of your tour package. Once you have cleared customs your driver will be waiting with a placard bearing your name on it before whisking you back to the hotel where your tour leader or a Gypsian Tours representative will meet you.

What is the general age of the tours?

At Gypsian tours we don’t cater to a specific age group. We offer diverse small group boutique tours for people who share like-minded views on travel. We cater for the 'gypsy' within that likes to experience all that the world has to offer.

What is the level of fitness required?

We have designed our tours with all ages in mind however a moderate level of fitness is required as guided tours may require you to walk for reasonable lengths of time occasionally over steps and uneven surfaces.

What should I wear on tour?

Gypsian Boutique tours offers you the opportunity to discover new cultures and customs in exotic locations. Often these customs involve appropriate dress. We recommend everyone (men and women) follow the ‘shoulders to knees’ rule – both these regions should be covered, as should everything in-between! Ladies should bring a scarf for visits to the mosque (or pick one up in the bazaars when you get here!)

Comfort is the order of the day as are looser fits and light cottons etc. However, it may get chilly in the desert or onboard the boat at night and a light jacket or cardigan may be a good idea.

What visas do I need and where do I get them?

It is the responsibility of passengers to obtain correct visas for the countries we visit.

What will happen if the minimum number for departure is not reached?

If minimum tour numbers are not met we offer the option to either transfer your booking to the next available tour or we will refund your deposit. Alternately, should all parties agree we can re-cost the tour based on the number of people booked.
